Blog Tour Review and Dream Cast: True Love's First Kiss (The Queen of the Realm of Faerie 1-3)- Heidi Garrett
Synopsis via Goodreads:
In the Enchanted World, true love’s first kiss is magic.
Nandana’s Mark, Book 1: When two half-faeries—Melia and her younger sister—are cursed under dreadful circumstances, true love’s first kiss is the remedy.
The Flower of Isbelline, Book 2: Nothing but true love’s first kiss can save Melia’s younger sister from blind ambition and ruin.
The Dragon Carnivale, Book 3: Melia must choose the freedom she cherishes or true love’s first kiss—and a relationship that promises to secure her place in the Whole.
The Queen of the Realm of Faerie is a fantasy fairy tale series that bridges the Mortal and Enchanted worlds. The main character, Melia, is an eighteen-year-old half-faerie, half-mortal. She lives in Illialei, a country in the Enchanted World, with her two sisters and their mother. Melia’s father has been exiled to the Mortal World, and her best friend is a pixie.
When the story opens in the first book, Melia is troubled by her dark moon visions, gossip she overhears about her parents at the local market, and the trauma of living among full-blooded faeries with wings—she doesn’t have any.
As the series unfolds, the historic and mystical forces that shape Melia’s life are revealed. Each step of her journey—to find the place where she belongs—alters her perceptions about herself, deepens her relationships with others, and enlarges her world view.
True Love’s First Kiss is a compilation of the first three books in this ongoing series.

Review: I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Part 1: Nandana's Mark: this is book me in The Queen of the Realm of Faeries series. I really enjoyed it because it wasn't you typical faery read with the usual characters.i loved that Heidi Garrett not only had faeries, but also pixies, brownies, trolls and many more creaturs in the story. My only issue was the beginning was a little bit slow but then picked up again at the end. I liked that there was lots of mystery for us to read about and discover, and we got to take that journey with these characters.
I really enjoyed Melina, she was definitely the brave heroine I the story. I also liked the message Heidi Garrett had hiding in the story, it's okay to be different. I can't wait for her to become more educated on all things Faery and to take me with her. Ryder is also an interesting character but we didn't get too much about him, but hopefully in book two we will.
Part 2: The Flower of Isabelline: Book two starts off Excatly where book me finished off. It was great because you don't miss a beat. I felt like this section was more fast paced and interesting because this section is when everything starts to fall apart. A lot of secrets are brought to light but I still feel like there are many more to come and I can't wait!
In this passage we are introduced to new characters that we only had heard about in part one. At times I felt like some charters fell to the background and only brought to the frontlines when they were needed, Tuck for example. But in saying that, you get to see how far the characters have came since the first meeting and you learn that they do regret certain decisions and agree that they have made mistakes.
Part 3: The Dragon Carnivale: again the transition for one book to the next is flawless. I found The Dragon Carnivale to sum up a lot of things that were going on in the novel but also it opened up more possibilities as to where the story is going.
By this point in the series the growth shown by the characters is extraordinary. Melina finally accepts herself for who and what she is and realizes that being different is okay. I also surprisingly grew to like Sevondi. She was also a strong female lead and she made me come to the conclusion that she might now be as terrible as I had originally thought. The only thing that made me made was some characters just disappeared. Where did they go? Who knows it was like the fell of the face of the earth.
Overall this series is a great fantasy read. I loved having the three books is one because the you don't have to stop reading you just carry on. Hopefully ll the new questions and assumptions that arose wi be talked about in the next book. I would recommend this series to fantasy fanatics.

Dream Cast:
So I did have. A little bit of trouble trying to cast my dream team because sometimes I had someone pictured but then it would change. Also by the time I got to the end of the book I couldn't remember is so and so had blonde hair or brown or if it had even been talked about. So anyways here we go, hope this doesn't wreck it for you.
Paris Jackson as Melina: Originally I had pictured Mila Kunis as Melina but when I saw this picture I changed my mind.
Liam Hemsworth as Ryder: this was my hardest character to cast. I'm not sure why, I just had a hard time connecting someone to him.
Amanda Seyfried as Tatou: just because to me she is soft and embodies what a pixie is.
Jayne Lynch as Flora: this one I thought was perfect. Because I was picturing her to be Sue Silvester from Glee and laughing at how she can be nice one minute and moody the next.
Richard Gere as Uncle Raffles: He was another one who was hard to cast.
Tyler Blackburn as Sinjiin: Just because that is who I pictured, yum!!
Olivia Wilde as Sevondi: She is a strong looking woman who can be soft or a bitch.
Tilda Swinton as Pressina: she looks like a faery, but can be both evil and good.
Alexander Skarsgard as Lord Zachariah Goring: Well I wanted someone good looking who would have the people's vote and some one the right age for both Melina and Sevondi.
