The Kingdom Chronicles: By The Sword Interview and Giveaway

Welcome author BC Morin!  Author of The Kingdom Chronicles Series that I love.  I am so very ecited to bring you good vs evil interviews.  We will get a chance to get to know Evyette better and find out what makes evil Samil tick.  Well without any further delay I would like to introduce you to our first guest.

1. What is your name?
Evyette Victoria Graulbairn
2.Do you have any scars, tattoos, piercings? What do they mean to you?
The marks that I was born with are important to me, as they were bestowed unto me by my creator. The scar that means the most is very faint now and is nothing more than a faint line, but it was when I was almost killed after finding my sister. That was when they discovered that I was being hunted by the Venator Animus. All of that resulted in the unfolding of my past.
3.What is your preferred style of clothing to wear?
I used to love my corsets and long skirts, but I've grown quite partial to my training gear.
4. What is your current job title / social station / rank?
I am, along with my sister, A Princess of Meira.
5.Who is your best friend? Describe them briefly.
I would say my sister. She has always been by my side. Even after we found out who my birth father was, she never turned from me, or looked at me differently.
6.What is your most cherished possession?
I still have the blanket that I was wrapped in when I was left in Meira by Dara.
7.What do you dislike most about your life? What is missing?
*sighs heavily* I crave stability at the moment. There are many things that have happened in this past year. Just when I have thought that things are about to get better, I am faced with yet another trial or tragedy.
8.What would you like your life to look like in twenty years?
I would prefer to be with someone who loves me and perhaps having had a little one of my own.
9.What is the driving force / motivation in your life?
My family and my friends. I would do anything for them.
10.What belief / person / institution would you die to defend?
I would die for my family and for friends that I have come to love as my family. Though, I would have to say also, that I am willing to die to save my people. The evil that is rising up against us, is monumental in strength and I am doing what I can to stop it.
11.Who has hurt you the worst in your life, and how?
My father. Not just for me, but for my mother. If he would have just given himself a chance, he could have seen that his status meant nothing, and things could have been vastly different.
12.Have you forgiven them? Could you ever?
I have. I understand why he did what he did. And despite the thought that he had no heart. He proved to have one larger than most.
13.What was your first impression of Tristan?
That he was as you humans would say : a "goofball?" Is that right? A jokester.
14.How accurate was this first impression?
I believe another human term would be "Dead-on". *sits up proudly* I am enjoying these terms.
15.When in your life did you feel the most helpless?
When two people died to save me and I was trapped in Samil's spell. I could do nothing but watch them die. It is something I fight with every day.
Thank you Evyette for taking the time to talk with us.
Now let me introduce you to the EVIL side of my interview.  I try not to judge, but actions speak louder than words.  I will let you judge for yourselves.
1.What is your name?
Why do you ask such a question? Surely you have heard of the most notorious fae ever to have been born, Samil.
Hmm, okay.

2.Do you have any scars, tattoos, piercings? What do they mean to you?
I have the marks I was born with, though my most prized is my sorcery mark. Through it I have developed skills far beyond sorcery.
3.Who has been your greatest influence (parent, friend, idol)? Why?
Myself. I have needed and will never need anyone.
4.What is your current job title / social station / rank?
Soon, I will be Ruler of the 5 Kingdoms.
5.What is your ultimate professional or life goal?
Have I not just told you that? You humans are so simple.
Sorry, I guess I will move on then.

6.Who is your biggest rival / enemy? Describe them briefly.
No one can rival me, though the fae have wronged me and need to pay for their actions.
They have never done anything to you, though.
WRONG ! It is that, exactly! They did nothing! Nothing to help the imprisoned fae that birthed me. Nothing to claim her or me into one of their Kingdoms. Clearly, they need to be killed, or ruled. I will leave it to them.
7.Do you have strong political leanings or affiliations?
Only for myself.
8.Do you have any irrational fears / phobias?
I have no fears. It is the Fae people and other creatures that fear me.
9.What is your most cherished possession?
Cherished possessions are for the weak. They create attachments to objects and loved ones and it becomes their downfall.
10.What is the driving force / motivation in your life?
Again, Myself. The fae people need to recognize the impressive and imposing force of my power.
11.How would you define ‘power’?
Complete and total rule and domination.
12.Do you consider yourself a moral / ethical person?
I care not for morality or ethics. I care only for what I desire.
13.What belief / person / institution would you die to defend?
Only my rightful place to rule.
14.Who have you hurt the worst? And How?
*Narrows eyes at interviewer.* I will only say again, that creating attachments to loved ones become downfalls. Therefore, I never created an attachment to someone who had one for me. *clears throat* Well, at least not as strong as her attachment.
(I think I may have found a small piece of "humanity" in there.)

15. My last question for you is, do you consider yourself to be evil?
I am not evil. I perceive Evil as nothing more than a term that the fae use for things that do not meet their moral or ethical views.
Um, yeah, so Evil.
*raises eyebrow at interviewer and leans in* Evil, lacking in morals, *makes air quotes* bad man. Call me what you wish, it matters not to me. The opinions of a human mean even less to me than the opinions of the fae. *stands abruptly and leaves*
Okay, well now you have met Samil for yourselves.  Evil?  I know he gives me the creeps.
Let me introduce to you the books that I have loved since the first time I opened them.
Mark of the Princess (Book 1 The Kingdom Chronicles)
The feisty and determined Princess Alannah is many things, but she never thought she would be the key to her people’s destruction.

Kidnapped for a power she does not yet possess, Alannah finds herself in the clutches of the most malevolent sorcerer of her time. Maligo. Alannah escapes her prison with help from the handsome and stalwart warrior faerie, Brennus.

Now she must cross mountains and forests fraught with rogue faeries, vicious trolls, dangerous shape-shifters, and more to reach the only ones that can help her control her incoming powers. The Elders.

With Brennus by her side, Alannah is determined to reach the Elder Fae and save her people. Maligo is just as determined she never makes it that far.
Blood of the Sorcerer (Book 2 The Kingdom Chronicles)
Love will be tested, great powers will emerge, secrets will be revealed, and hearts will break over a death no one saw coming….

Princess Alannah hoped that upon her arrival in Anrad, things would begin to look up. But she comes to find that the warrior fae that she has fallen in love with is truly the Prince of Anrad and has been betrothed to another by his dying father. Isibeal, his betrothed, is beautiful, strong, and hiding a secret that Alannah is determined to reveal.

Adding to her worries, her sister Evyette has set off on a journey to uncover her increasingly mysterious past. Finally discovering who she is and where she came from, Evyette will find that some things are better left unknown. As Tristan and Kaleb help Eveytte through this discovery, she is yanked from their clutches by Samil who has volunteered her as the final sacrifice for him to remain in this realm.

Will Alannah succeed in her training at the hands of Master Jadoc, the Elder Faerie and still make it in time to join Tristan and Kaleb in stopping Samil? Will Brennus go against his dying father's last request and follow his heart?
